LOOKING AHEAD – ALL JANUARY 2010
by Astrologer Myrna Lamb
DEAR MYRNA,
I am a Sagittarius male, 20 years old, with a question about a girl, also a Sagittarius who is 19. I’ve had feelings for her these past three years. She has been a significant part of my life and currently, she’s one of my good friends. Will anything come of us in the future, or if not, will I ever move on and meet someone new? MA
DEAR MA,
If you truly want a future with Ms. Sagittarius, for the time being you would be best advised to remain friends, nothing more. She needs time to find her own path. She is an independent spirit and it is too soon for her to settle down. Her chart and yours are extremely similar. You both have a number of planets in Capricorn, the sign of industry, big business, government and the military. All those adjectives describe a person who is accomplished. That is what she wants in a man.
To become that man, you need to pursue your education and career. As you become more established, you will look more appealing to her not only as a friend but very possibly as a life mate. For now, start going out with other young women. There is no lack of opportunity as I see it in your natal chart.
DEAR MYRNA,
I am a Leo woman, 53 years old, involved with a Gemini man who is 64. We have been seeing each other for 2 1/2 years. Things aren’t great right now. He’s very critical and set in his ways. He has been married and divorced twice. Both of his wives cheated on him. Do you think I am wasting my time in this relationship? DN
DEAR DN,
You mean you want to marry this critical man who is visiting upon you the negative results of his prior relationships? Wasting your time? Sure you are. He has his Moon in Aquarius and can be both detached and cold. Your Moon is in Pisces, indicating that you long for intimacy. This man keeps you at arm’s length. That is not going to change.
If you want more in a love relationship, close the door on this one. Tell Mr. Gemini that it’s over. When Venus is in your Sun Sign, mid June through mid July, you could meet someone easier to relate to, with whom a fuller involvement would be possible.
DEAR MYRNA,
I am a 19 year old Pisces. I have been dating a 20 year old Cancer for a year now. We go to the same college and everything seems to be going well, but I don’t want to end up in a long term relationship with someone who isn’t right for me and lately we’ve been having problems, because I will be in school for longer than him due to my pharmacy major. I figured you can help me decide what to do. IG
DEAR IG,
Your Cancer boyfriend has his Moon in Pisces explaining the attraction. But Cancer is opposite from Capricorn and you have your Moon, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune all in the very pragmatic Sign of Capricorn. That’s an exceptional configuration, an amazingly heavy dose of Capricorn and proves that you are very savvy. You know the answer to your own question. Enjoy this relationship, make no excessive promises. When this Cancer man graduates, focus on your education and trust that your heart will be clear.
DEAR READERS,
We are coming to the end of the eclipse period that began on December 21st. The final day is January 18th. There are some general effects of the eclipse on all people and they will be felt right up to the last moment. Primarily, people feel obsessive/compulsive. Whatever you want, you want now. Forget about delayed gratification! In relationships, an eclipse can help clear the air as subjects come to the surface. But that same energy can lead to words spoken rashly with malice of forethought and then relationships may well be destroyed. During an eclipse remember this adage: the only argument you really ever win is the one you avoid. Be careful also how you handle stress on the job and choose your words with care in response to your boss and coworkers.
LOOKING AHEAD for January 15
by Astrologer Myrna Lamb
DEAR MYRNA,
I am a Taurus woman, 47 years old. The year 2009 was an extremely difficult for me. Not only did I lose my job, but also my boyfriend and I broke up and therefore I needed to move. Does this New Year look any better for me mostly regarding my love life? JB
DEAR JB:
You were born with Jupiter in the Sign of Pisces and Jupiter will be moving through that Sign again this year. That Jupiter configuration happens only every twelve years and is very beneficial. For you, it means love life should indeed improve.
Since Jupiter also represents women who are at least seven years older than you, the most likely way for you to meet a good man is through an introduction by such a female. Most studies show that he best way to meet a future partner is be direct introduction. Think about the women you know, relatives and friends, who fit this description. Tell them that you are open to being fixed up and that there won’t be any hard feelings if things do not work out.
DEAR MYRNA,
I have been out of work for over a year and I am wondering when I will be employed again. Also. does my chart indicate what type of work I might find? I am an Aquarian, 55 years old. SR
DEAR SR,
This year Jupiter will cross the Rising Sign in your natal chart. The Rising Sign is the beginning point in a horoscope and for you it represents the beginning of a new twelve year cycle that can be quite positive. You ought to be able to find appropriate work no later than this summer, in a good sized company, but it may not be local.
You had some pretty helpful aspects all through 2009 and couldn’t find a job. That fact made me take a look at your chart regarding this part of the country. In fact it might be necessary for you to look beyond the immediate geographical area to find an adequate position. I am not suggesting that you need to move a great distance, and even if you did, you could return in a couple of years. My concern is that you may be continuing to seek what cannot be found right now around here.
As to the nature of that work, you are competent in all fields that require attention to detail and linear thinking.
DEAR MYRNA,
It is a new year and I want excitement! It seems that everyone around me is finding boyfriends, sometimes even finding love. I am 16, a Cancer female, and have never been kissed. It is getting pretty depressing. I am friends with lots of people, but have never found anyone really special. I want to have fun and enjoy my last two years of high school. I want to experience having a boyfriend. I feel like I am ready for a relationship and just need some encouragement that it will/can happen. Will I have a boyfriend sometime this year? Or ever for that matter? LN
DEAR LN,
I promise you that Someday you will find true love. On top of that, I expect that you will marry and probably have two children one of whom will be a girl. In addition, if twins run in your family, you may indeed have a set. Otherwise your two children will be spaced quite close together. Okay, I know that’s a long way off.
For now, your best time and place to meet someone special will be in the following stretches of time: February 12 through March 6, May 20 through June 12, and September 12 through October 3. Attend all social functions, parties, art show openings, concerts, as well as extra-curricular school functions that are held in those periods. I think your first boyfriend will be about 5’9” tall, have curly, light brown hair and be interested in the sciences.
